On International Women’s day, Foden’s launched details of a major initiative (supported via Arts Council England) to provide opportunities for female composers aged 21 and under to write for brass band.

Foden's were delighted with the response and pleased to announce the three shortlisted pieces :
On the 11th July, Foden's will perform the above pieces with spoken feedback on each composition from panel members Lucy Pankhurst and Liz Lane. Prior to Lucy and Liz announcing the winner, the band will perform a short programme showcasing music from both Lucy and Liz.
The concert will be held at Sandbach School Theatre, Crewe Rd, CW11 3NS commencing at 8pm. Entrance is free
