On Sunday 16th June Foden's opened the inaugural 'Elgar International Festival of Brass' in Bromsgrove with performances of Dvorak's 'Carnival Overture', Debussy's 'Masques', 'Ubi Caritas' from the pen of band president Paul Mealor and a reprise of the bands British Open winning 'Sand and Stars' by the festival's featured composer Thierry Deleruyelle
The unique concert format also featured a major solo work performed by Tenor Horn player Jonathan Bates who gave a "performance of considerable note" of Derek Bourgeois' incredibly demanding 'Concerto for Eb Horn and Brass Band'.
Foden's would like to congratulation and thank those involved in creating this new visionary festival - the packed hall speaks for itself!
